Why trust it

Trade-only key, no withdrawals

The key reads and trades, and cannot withdraw. If the permissions cannot be confirmed, the connection does not complete.

Never sells at a loss

On its own the bot requires 0.35% above average cost to sell. Selling in the red happens only if you say so.

Free test mode

Simulate with a virtual balance, no time limit, before risking a single real cent.

Grows on its own, public plan

On managed bots, the Pilot climbs a public ladder of coins as the exchange capital grows.

How the trailing stop works for SOL

The trailing stop doesn't sell at a fixed price — it follows the peak. If you set +3%:

  1. 1Bot buys at $100.
  2. 2Price rises to $103 — target hit. The trailing stop activates and starts tracking the peak.
  3. 3Price rises further, to $110. The trailing stop follows: new ceiling = $110.
  4. 4Price drops 2% from the peak ($107.80). Bot sells — a bigger profit than $103.

In our corrected backtest, selling at the target beat trailing — that's why it's the default (trailing is an option for strong trends). In a 5-year by-regime study, the Cycle doesn't beat simply holding through a strong bull; its value is discipline: it locks small green gains and never sells at a loss (nor below your configured target).

What changes when you run DCA on Solana

On a blue chip, DCA tends to be the simplest case to run: these are the most liquid pairs on the exchanges, so orders fill near the screen price and spread barely moves your average. It is also where long intervals make the most sense — buying weekly or monthly here usually means building a multi-year position, not trading.

Risk we classify as low: this is the band where the bot spends the least time with a position stuck, because recovery tends to come sooner. The rule does not change, though — if it drops, it holds and waits, and the money sits there until it can close in profit.

This pair exists on all three exchanges Theta supports, so you can pick by fee, by country or by where you already have an account — without changing strategy.

  • bybit— SOL/USDT Spot pair available
  • coinbase— SOL/USDT Spot pair available

On Bybit, the fee (~0.1%) is charged in the coin you receive; API orders fall outside the MNT-token discount. None of the three exchanges takes custody of your funds — the key is trade-only.

How to set it up

  1. 1Create an API key on Binance with read-and-trade permission — no withdrawals.
  2. 2Connect the key in Theta (Connections) and select the SOL/USDT pair.
  3. 3Pick a preset (e.g. "Theta Strategy" or "Blue Chip Balance") or set the profile manually.
  4. 4Turn on test mode to validate the behavior with a virtual balance — free, no time limit.
  5. 5Go live: the bot runs automatic cycles in the cloud, while you sleep.

Frequently asked questions

Does the bot sell SOL at a loss if it drops a lot?
No — the bot never sells at a loss. If Solana falls below your average cost, it holds the position and reopens the cycle once price recovers. You only sell in profit — which matters for a Blue Chips coin like Solana (a high-performance blockchain with low fees and a growing DeFi/NFT ecosystem).
Does Theta have access to withdraw my balance?
No. You connect Theta to your Binance, Bybit and Coinbase account with a read-and-trade-only key. Without withdrawal permission, it's impossible to move your SOL off the exchange.
Which profile should I pick for SOL?
"Balanced" is the recommended starting point. As Blue Chips, Solana tends to be less volatile — "Patient" (+6%) captures bigger moves per cycle.
Does the bot trade SOL on its own, even with my PC off?
Yes. Theta runs on cloud servers — even with your computer off, the bot monitors SOL/USDT on Binance and executes orders nonstop. You can get Telegram alerts if you like.

DCA or Cycle: which one is for you?

Cycle buys SOL on the dip and sells in profit — ideal if you want to realize gains on Solana without ever selling at a loss. DCA (Accumulate) buys at intervals and holds, never selling — ideal if you just want to stack Solana for the long run. Both use the same trade-only key, no withdrawals.
